With a wealth of experience in the subcontract machining industry, Impcross uses a vast range of equipment and knowledge to understand your needs and delivery requirements.

An excellent understanding of our finite capacity in Production Engineering, Programming and machine tools areas enables us to supply accurate front end planning at the quotation stage. Once orders are placed regular updates are provided in visual formats through to the despatch of your parts.


At Impcross we understand the need to respond to quotations as quickly as possible. That’s why upon receipt of your RFQ it will be entered into our register, and resource allocated to ensure you receive a prompt response. A capable to promise approach is used and all aspects of our process considered and factored to provide a solid quotation based on real time factors and constraints.

Continuous improvement

Continuous Improvement

Impcross applies its own incentivised Continuous Improvement scheme across the whole plant that extends to involve our major customers.

Suggestions deemed to be viable are accepted, and a copy of the results given back to the originator. Accepted suggestions are judged at the end of every month and a prize awarded to the best one. We also apply Kaizen projects and SMED activities where required.

Contract Review

Our Contract review process contains both a commercial and engineering / quality review. All aspects of part detail, conditions of supply, export requirements, tooling / fixtures, material requirements and approvals are considered and cross checked using our bespoke contracts configurator.

Production Engineering

Production Engineering is load list controlled and capacity monitored in the same way a machine is controlled and monitored. It also takes an active role in the quotations and the re-engineering of existing product as part of the continuous improvement process.  As a resource it also forms part of our capable to promise process.

Comprehensive Programming

Programming is load list controlled and capacity monitored in the same way a machine is controlled. Impcross programmers have over 30 year’s experience in 2, 3, 4 and 5-axis simultaneous machining using Delcam’s comprehensive NC programming software.

Utilising Powershape; Powermill, including full 5-axis; Blade, Blisk and Impeller modules; Feature Turn Mill; Feature Cam; Feature recognition and Touch Probing; our Production Engineering and Programming departments are fully equipped to process even the most complex parts with the best solution available.

From 2D drawings or 3D solid models, to finished component, they design any fixtures or special tooling required. Further program optimisation can then be attained using NCSIMUL8 machine tool simulation and inspection software.



Impcross use an MRP business system with full SFDC (shop floor data collection).  We have the ability to forecast short or long production runs using existing, or similar to part, details and demonstrate capable to promise schedules. Once orders are active and in process we can track the progress of orders and visually report on the position of orders by customer. Daily load lists are issued by the production team and collected SFDC data is fed back into the MRP system as part of our commitment to continuous improvement and more accurate scheduling.



Our modern Inspection department with its dedicated team, strives to maintain the quality reputation Impcross has built up since starting operations in 1994. To maintain AS 9100 accreditation we continually look at improvements within metrology to service and improve our manufacturing process. With the current software packages available the CMM can create programs to inspect and verify product direct from customer models and derivative data. Our extensive range of inspection equipment ensures that we have a solution to verify all product ranges.

As with all Impcross departments, our Quality and Inspection team works in close partnership with customers to supply data through Key Characteristics and SPC that will demonstrate process control and aid customer assembly interfaces.


Despatch is an important link in our process, preservation of product is a key element to our business. The risk of any damage and deterioration is evaluated and a product that is considered outside our standard protection procedure is addressed with a bespoke packaging solution.

Logistics are controlled through our transport fleet and supported by local couriers. This solution offers total flexibility, managing transport links with our supply chain and customer base.
